In fact camping is how I originally got into outdoor movies and the obsession just kind of grew from there. The challenge is that many camping spots don’t have electricity so unless you have a generator you have to figure out how to keep the party going, while off the grid. I have detailed how I do this in some earlier posts, but the nitty gritty is this:
Projector – [easyazon_link identifier=”B00PG3YZ2A” locale=”US” tag=”backyardmov05-20″]Brookstone Pocket Projector[/easyazon_link] (2 hour battery life, 200 lumens)
Sound – [easyazon_link identifier=”B00BNIO4H8″ locale=”US” tag=”backyardmov05-20″]JBL Charge Speaker[/easyazon_link](7 hour battery life)
Media – Digital video file on an old table that is mini-HDMI capable (4 hour battery life)
Screen – The side of the camper.
With a little preplanning I can ensure at least one movie per camping trip. One of the best parts of campground camping in the communal aspect of it. Lot of folks taking walks to gawk at other people’s rigs and setups, my little outside theater also gets a lot of comments and visitors.
